Haynes Challenge Met!

Jan 7, 2020, 18:16 PM by Kelly Jocius

Congratulations, you've done it!

We are delighted to announce that we have reached the goal for the Wm. S. Haynes Co. Challenge! Since the announcement of the challenge in 2013, NFA members have donated $125,000 to the NFA’s General Endowment Fund—the same amount the Wm. S. Haynes company generously pledged in contributions through 2022. Haynes has extended this $12,500 annual grant for another five years, through 2027, and we are grateful for their leadership and vision in establishing this opportunity, as well as the extraordinary support of NFA members in reaching this goal.

“It is with great appreciation that we acknowledge and sincerely thank all contributors for making this Wm. S. Haynes Company Challenge Grant so successful and inspiring,” said Steven Finley, Vice President—Artistic Development. “We at the Wm. S. Haynes Company are most pleased to continue our support of the NFA, assuring artistry, legacy, and longevity for this stellar association.”

“Flutists know Haynes as a company with a deep history in American flute playing and flute making,” said NFA President Joanna Bassett. “Their desire to make an impact and create lasting legacies goes beyond their instruments, and we are pleased to continue our partnership with them.”

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Haynes Challenge! We are honored by your support and your enthusiastic and wide-ranging vision for the National Flute Association. There is still time to give to the President's Appeal campaign. Please consider making a donation today!
