NFA Scholarships

 

  • The Geoffrey Gilbert Scholarship prize is awarded to the NFA High School Soloist Competition first-place winner for further flute study with any teacher who is a member of the NFA.
  • The Deveau Scholarship is awarded for the outstanding performance of the NFA High School Soloist Competition commissioned work.
  • The First Generation in College Scholarship aims to support and develop educational and career opportunities for talented, first generation in college students. 
  • The Frances Blaisdell Scholarship provides financial assistance for a high school or undergraduate student flutist to attend the National Flute Association Convention. 
  • The Myrna Brown International Scholarship provides financial assistance to a flutist from a country outside of the United States to attend and present at the National Flute Association Convention.
  • Convention Registration Scholarships provide funding to offset registration costs for the NFA's Annual Convention.
  • The Lessons Scholarship Program provides private lessons year-round to students enrolled at community music schools in major cities across the country.
  • Youth Flute Day Scholarships are awarded to secondary school students to attend Youth Flute Day, a day-long series of youth-centered events at the NFA Convention, at no cost.
