Convention Mentorship Program

New for 2025! The NFA has introduced a program to help first-time convention attendees get the most out of the convention.

The NFA Convention Mentorship Program pairs first-time attendees with mentors who have a deep experience of the convention to help the newcomer identify and achieve their convention goals. The program emphasizes peer support based on sharing expertise in specific areas.

The program elements are:
  • An open application process for mentors and mentees
  • Pairing of mentor/mentee teams based on mentee goals and mentor expertise
  • A conversation between mentor and mentee by Zoom, phone, or email prior to the convention
  • A meeting at the convention to recommend events the mentee might attend to achieve their convention and career/attendance goals and make introductions to additional NFA attendees

Sign up to serve as a Mentor or be partnered with a Mentor below.
All first-time attendees (mentees) who register online will be paired up with a mentor in advance of the convention.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • Please register for the convention before you apply to the program
  • Mentees must be 18+ at the time of the convention
  • All participants will be emailed more detailed information before the convention
