The Global Flute Community Under One Roof
The NFA's Annual Convention is our flagship event. Each year, our members gather for four days of performances, masterclasses, competitions, and workshops. With thousands of flutists in attendance, this is a once-a-year opportunity to hear world premiere performances, learn from your favorite flutists, and explore the rich culture of San Antonio.
From a survey of attendees at the 2023 convention in Phoenix, AZ
Represented historically across geographies, races, traditions, nationalities and styles, the flute is an instrument of rich diversity. This year's performances are inclusive of wide-reaching repertoire, featuring the broad cultural palate of our flute.
From morning to night, each day is filled with events geared towards all manner of interests. View the Program Book & Schedule to start making your calendar!
View master teachers at their best. This year's masterclass teachers include Marianne Gedigian, Hyeri Yoon, Mark Sparks, Soo-Kyung Park, and Hideko Amano.
Each evening, the convention comes together for a show-stopping concert featuring leading flutists from around the world. The Saturday night Gala Concerto Concert, featuring a full program of concerto performances, is not to be missed. LEARN MORE
