The NFA has done us a service both in making these performances available again and in passing on Robert Willoughby's legacy to the future. Such wonderful flute playing combined with such artistry---I kept finding myself saying, "Why didn't I think of that?" In an age of flute gimmicry and showmanship it was a satisfying reminder to hear music making without artifice. -John Wion
The expression and clear emotion, and flexibility in tone and articulation in your music is unlike any I hear nowadays. It is truly beautiful. -Janet See
